I met Chris Woo over five years ago, back when we were both working in the automotive industry. He came into our Toyota store as a Sales Manager and within weeks made it clear: he wasn’t just clocking in.
He carried himself with quiet confidence, the kind that doesn’t need to prove anything because the results already speak. While others waited to be told what to do, Chris was already 10 steps ahead—optimizing, fixing, building, moving. He wasn’t in it for the title. He was there to get better, and to help others do the same.
What bonded us was that shared mindset: neither of us was planning to stay in the 9–5 forever. We talked endlessly about business ideas, side hustles, systems, and long games. So when I found out he was in the process of taking over a Body Energy Club location—one of my favourite smoothie spots—I knew something great was about to happen.
From Comfortable to Chaotic
Chris spent a decade in auto. He was good at it. But good isn’t what he was after.
“My life became too comfortable, too predictable—not enough chaos.”
So he left. He stepped into health and wellness full-time, an industry he was passionate about, and began bringing his entrepreneurial mindset into a space that needed new energy.
“I wanted to be the captain of my own ship.”
Rebuilding with Intention
When Chris took over his first store, it wasn’t just about managing staff or product, it was about reshaping culture. He made community a priority. He built partnerships with local gyms, fitness studios, and wellness brands. He sponsored rides with The Last Drop. He even co-hosted car meets at Fist Bump with full smoothie bars and service that never felt like “just enough.”
He made sure the store reflected the values he lives by: consistency, professionalism, and showing up early to do the work no one else sees.
“You represent your brand in every action you take.”
Redefining Progress
Ask Chris about success and you won’t hear anything about revenue, followers, or expansion.
“Progress is hard to see when you’re inside of it.
It’s like a never-ending experience bar.”
It’s the invisible milestones that matter to him: relationships built, standards raised, culture reinforced, day by day.
The Plain Pillars
Impact First
“We’re the first to show up and the last to leave.
Entrepreneurship is all about giving before you receive.”
Identity is Earned
“We focus on discipline. We live it, not just say it.”
Small Bets, Big Ideas
“All of this started with a hello.
One small conversation can snowball into everything.”
The Middle of the Shift
Right now, Chris is deep in the process, not at the end, not looking back, just in it.
“Entrepreneurship breaks you in every way.
It eliminates the weakest version of you.”
That might sound brutal, but it’s also why he’s grown into someone with unshakable clarity. He’s still optimizing, still building, and still keeping one or two things quiet—until they’re ready to be seen.
And when they are, they’ll be dialed in. Just like everything else Chris does.
