Vision in the Details: Kayseen Gordic of MBG Real Estate

Selling has a reputation problem.
Too often it feels pushy, transactional, or insincere.

But the first time I met Kayseen Gordic, she nearly sold me back my own condo — the one I was hiring her to sell. Where I saw flaws, she saw features. Every small detail I had convinced myself would be a hard mark against the listing, she immediately reframed as part of the story that would make the property stand out.

That’s when I knew she was different. Not because she was closing hard, but because she was listening harder. At less than three years into her career, she already had the care and perspective of someone who’d been doing this for decades.

The Path to Purpose

For Kayseen, real estate has always been about connection first.

“Really understanding where people are in their lives and where they want to go next. Once I have that, I get to bring in the creative side: creating unique marketing strategies that make each property stand out and tell its own story.”

Her path here wasn’t straightforward. She had a comfortable role as a Business Development Manager at L’Oréal Canada. But when someone close to her was diagnosed with cancer and passed away only six months later, her perspective shifted.

“Life is short. Wasted potential felt more daunting than taking the leap.”

During COVID, she studied real estate. After having two children, she decided she couldn’t wait any longer. It was time to go all in.

Courage in Discomfort

Starting a new career while raising two kids and building a house meant stepping into uncertainty every day.

“The biggest mindset shift for me was embracing the idea that discomfort is where growth happens. Early on, I learned to lean into uncertainty instead of avoiding it — setting goals that scared me a little, showing up even when I didn’t feel fully ready.”

It wasn’t easy. Behind the polished listings and open houses came challenges, self-doubt, and late nights wondering if she could balance it all. But each step forward — every client helped, every deal closed — reinforced that she was on the right path.

Redefining Progress

Today, progress for Kayseen isn’t just about sales milestones.

“It’s about showing up consistently, learning, and growing even in small ways. It’s celebrating incremental wins and staying aligned with the life I want to create for my family.”

She’s building systems to elevate her real estate business, refining how she markets fine homes, and laying foundations for bigger opportunities in development.

The Plain Pillars

Impact First
“Putting people first means truly listening to their needs, understanding their goals, and providing guidance without expecting anything in return.”

Identity is Earned
“My identity has been built through consistency and showing up — the early mornings, late nights, learning from mistakes, and pushing outside my comfort zone.”

Small Bets, Big Ideas
“I’ve failed more times than most people have even tried. Each small business taught me lessons that gave me the confidence to pursue bigger ideas in real estate with a smarter, more strategic approach.”

The Middle of the Journey

Kayseen describes this stage as equal parts exciting and uncertain.

“It’s a lot of hard work behind the scenes, but every small win feels like progress. The journey itself teaches resilience, patience, and creativity.”

If she could whisper something to someone about to start their own thing?

“Don’t try to do it all alone. Surround yourself with the right people, mentors, and a community that challenges and supports you. That can make all the difference.”

Because in real estate, like in life, the details matter. And Kayseen sees what others miss.
