From Scratch: Arash Lahooti of Arash Media

From Scratch: Arash Lahooti of Arash Media

Before I ever met Arash Lahooti, I knew his work.

Working in the car community and creative space, it’s hard not to. His visuals hit differently - sharp, clean, cinematic. The kind of work that makes you stop scrolling. Back when I was just getting my studio off the ground, I’d see Arash’s content floating around and quietly think to myself, “If this is the bar, then I’ve got a long way to go.”

But that feeling eventually turned into something more productive: respect. I realized I didn’t have to be the best filmmaker, I needed to surround myself with people better than me in the areas I wanted to grow. Arash became one of those people.

Over time, I had the privilege of watching him work in person, some of it inside my own studio space. His calm demeanour, attention to detail, and tireless work ethic never wavered, especially not when he had every reason to slow down.

Because what most people didn’t know was that behind the lens, Arash was navigating something far bigger than a shot list.

From Tehran to Canada

Arash came to Canada alone, leaving his friends and family in Iran to pursue a better future. That alone would’ve been enough to shake most people. But just as he was finding his rhythm here, war broke out back home.

With communication lines disrupted, he couldn’t even check in on his loved ones. And still, Arash showed up, project after project, full-time job by day, edits by night. Always smiling. Always focused.

“You’ll see lots of obstacles.
You’ll lose friends. You’ll be told you’re wrong.
But if you’re starting your own thing, you have to sacrifice a lot.

The Origin of Arash Media

His path into creative work was natural.

“I was passionate about cars as a kid, and I grew up in the digital era. So I just combined the two.”

It started as a hobby. A few small projects. Then came the turning point. He couldn't find a media company or magazine that shared his standard of quality or vision. So he started his own.

“It had to be mine. My signature. My way.”

Brick by Brick

Arash started from zero. No gear. No studio. Just curiosity, YouTube tutorials, and the long road of trial and error.

“I built everything from scratch.
Most content creators don’t really start from nothing. I did.”

He put in the reps. Showing up at car meets. Introducing himself. Building a network one handshake at a time. Not by chasing clout, but by treating everyone the same, no matter who they were.

The Middle of the Journey

Now, several years in, he’s finding his groove. But don’t confuse momentum with ease.

“It’s a really competitive field.
If I don’t give 100%, I fall behind.”

He doesn’t define progress by follower counts or views. He defines it by how far he’s come in knowledge, professionalism, and connection.

“That’s real progress to me.
And I know this is just the tip of the iceberg.”

The Plain Pillars

Impact First

“Treat everyone in the same way.”
No ego. No hierarchy. Just respect across the board.

Identity is Earned

“I built my network by showing up.
Event after event. Car meet after car meet.”

Small Bets, Big Ideas

“I started with YouTube and a dream. That was it.”
No big investment. Just consistency, curiosity, and love for the craft.

Final Word

What makes Arash so rare isn’t just the talent. It’s the way he carries it, with humility, quiet discipline, and a smile that hides just how much he’s carrying.

He’s not chasing recognition. He’s building something bigger.
Not loud. Not fast. But undeniably his.
